The quality of Jatropha leaf ecoprint products using steaming and pounding techniques

Abstract A new technique in textile coloring, namely the ecoprint dyeing technique, has emerged which further proves development of industry. There are several techniques steaming pounding and boiling technique. To produce a good eco print color, one must consider coloring type material used, mordant substance, mass length process. Mordant alum is more widely used as fixator because it easier to obtain affordable. Meanwhile, natural substances that can be dye Jatropha leaves (Jatropha curcas L.). Researchers then revealed use color potential fiber-based dyes for textiles. The independent variable this study including (X1), (X2), (X3). dependent quality prints results with indicators including: colors difference darkness. data analysis method research descriptive inferential statistics. process on cotton cloth using fixation treatment bottom resulting highest darkness compared other methods. produces darkest color. Statistical ANOVA test showed there was significant effect results.
